Upload an image with text
Choose one photo or screenshot in JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF format, up to 25 MB.
Use Text Remover to clear captions, date stamps, promotional lettering, and printed words from photos, screenshots, and product images. Simple backgrounds are usually easier to repair than detailed scenes.
Try it without signing up; fine lettering and text over faces or patterns may leave traces, so check the result before downloading.

Use Text Remover in three steps, from uploading your image to checking the finished edit.
Choose one photo or screenshot in JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF format, up to 25 MB.
Click Remove Text to let AI find the lettering and fill the affected areas from nearby image details.
Open the comparison, zoom in to check repaired edges and background texture, then download the result.
Letter size, contrast, and what lies underneath affect how well the background can be reconstructed.
Captions, dates, and repeated text on plain areas are good starting points. Faint overlays, handwriting, or letters matching the background may be missed; dense patterns can leave traces.
Remove added labels from screenshots with clear, flat backgrounds. All visible text can be affected, including interface labels you want to keep; avoid this mode when only one annotation should go.
Clear sale messages or slogans around a product. Letters crossing packaging, hair, or intricate artwork are harder to repair, and printed product labels may also be removed.
Plain paper behind printed words is easier to fill than stained or patterned pages. Handwriting and faint scans are less reliable; this edits pixels, not PDF text, and is not secure document redaction.
Need a more selective edit? You can remove objects from photo by brushing over an area, or remove watermark from photo when logos and graphic marks are the main distraction.
Compare the repaired areas with the source. Results depend on the original image; these examples do not guarantee the same finish for every upload.

The large caption crosses sea and buildings; check fine edges where letters covered detail.

A small date stamp covers less of the scene, but grass and other textures still need close inspection.

Text and a graphic mark overlap the artwork; the repaired illustration can differ from the original.
Illustrative document example, not an AI output: it shows the intended cleanup area, not a promised result.
Keep your source file. AI reconstructs covered pixels rather than recovering the hidden original, and may change nearby details.

Text-based watermarks can be removed with this tool. For graphic logos, use the dedicated watermark remover or brush over the area with the object remover. Only edit images you own or have permission to change.
The edit aims to preserve the original image quality and composition while filling the text areas. It is not pixel-identical: nearby details, colors, or textures can change, and the exported dimensions may differ. Compare the result with your source.
Upload JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF files, up to 25 MB each. The tool accepts one image per edit; convert PDF pages to images first.
Guest Mode provides 5 free credits per month, and one edit uses 5 credits. Wait for the monthly reset, or create an account and choose a paid plan for more credits. Signing up is not required for the guest trial.
Processing time varies with image complexity and service demand. Follow the progress shown in the tool and keep the page open until the result appears; some edits can take several minutes.
You can use your edited image commercially if you have the necessary rights to the source and its contents. Removing lettering or a watermark does not grant a license to someone else’s work.
This page processes one image at a time. Download each result before uploading the next photo; each edit uses its own credits.
Check the image at full size and keep the original. Try a clearer source or use the object remover to brush over the remaining letters. Text over faces, patterns, handwriting, or low-contrast areas may need manual retouching; another edit uses credits.
